T.H.I.S. THERAPEUTIC HOLISTIC INTEGRATIVE SCIENTIFIC YOGA™

T.H.I.S. Yoga is a comprehensive health and wellness program designed to address and promote optimal mental, social-emotional, and physical health. Created with the various needs of the “whole-child” in mind, T.H.I.S. Yoga utilizes the most effective therapeutic strategies and skill development techniques, combined with opportunities to explore different aspects of movement, mindfulness, and breath control.
And…. it’s a lot of fun!
Groups will focus on strategies for overall mental health and wellness, as well as on more specific areas of need, such as:
ADHD and executive functioning (e.g.: self-monitoring, emotional regulation, mental planning/organization, etc.).
Self-esteem, self-care, and self-confidence building.
Developing and maintaining healthy life-style habits.
Exploring how moving our bodies and controlling our breath help to reduce our worries and quiet our minds.
Mindfulness training designed to bring awareness to, and change any negative thought patterns, while increasing our overall feelings of happiness and gratitude.
Sessions are 60 minutes, once a week, and taught in a small group format. Groups are generally arranged by age, although there are opportunities to form your own group. This option is time-limited, so if this is appealing to you, please reach out to Dr. Jenn at Carlsonpsych@gmail.com, ASAP.
